  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • REVISED TA picture scheduleSmile for the camera! It’s Day-2 of TA pictures for the 2020 Yearbook. Here’s the rundown:  6th grade TAs are going TODAY — 8th grade TAs will be photographed on Thursday and Friday — and 7th grade TAs will be last, next Monday and Tuesday. Make-ups and retakes for all grades will be shot on January 29th and 30th.
    .
The photographers will be arranging you into 2-lines for the picture… OR, if you’re feeling more imaginative — you’re encouraged to creatively stage and arrange yourself for the picture. Just be sure to practice your pose in advance — and make sure we can see everyone’s faces! See Mr. Schonfeld with any questions about the TA pictures.
    .
  • Calling all 8th grade applicants to Washington-&-Liberty High School!  There will be an important meeting for everyone who applied to W&L — TODAY during 8th grade Wolf Time in room 203.  Students will be meeting with High School counselors to learn more about their academic and elective options for 9th grade. But again, this session is ONLY for students who have already applied to Washington-&-Liberty.  See Ms. Brenckle or Mr. Stapler with any questions.
    .
  • Science, Technology, Engineering and Math! If YOU’D like a career in STEM, enjoy building things, and like working with POWER TOOLS — then Mr. Dudek’s ACT 2 “Inventions” class is for you! This “hands-on” class is being offered for the 2nd semester — from February to June — and meets after school 2-days a week. The sign-up sheet is posted on the Activities Board by the cafeteria. See Mr. Dudek in room 129 for more information.
    .
  • Who Wants Pizza? The WMS Model UN Club will be hosting a pizza fundraiser this FRIDAY immediately after school — located in the main lobby by the library. It’s just 2-dollars a slice, and all proceeds will go to fund MUNner activities and scholarships. Pizza pizza!!
    .
  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!!  It’s “Principal Appreciation Week” here at APS. And on behalf of all the students, teachers, and PTA here at Williamsburg, we’d like to take this opportunity to say “Thank You” to our amazing team of Principals: Mr. Boykin, Mr. K., Ms. Osler, and Dr. Ellis. Let’s have a round of applause and show them how much we all appreciate their hard work. Way to go, Principal wolves!! [clap] And remember: if you see one of our principals in the halls this week, be sure to stop and say “Thanks!”
    .
  • Wolf Pack Pride continues with a big announcement from the WMS PTA.  The PTA No Frills Fundraiser wrapped up this month — and it was a HUGE success, raising over 20-THOUSAND dollars from Williamsburg families and members of our community!!!
    .
This money will help support virtually everything we do here at WMS — like buying new books, comfortable chairs and couches, funding school dances, pictures, the Science Fair, teacher appreciation activities and so more.  But that’s not all!  As promised, the the top-3 TAs from each grade-level who helped to raise the most money are getting a free Donut Breakfast Party!!!
    .
And the winners are… in the 6th grade — Ms. Flynn, Mr. Seeger, and Ms. Wall’s TAs!!
    .
In the 7th grade — Mr. Bell, Mr. McDermott, and Ms. Zarro’s TAs!!
    .
And in the 8th grade — Ms. Lawrence, Mr. Miller, and Ms. Warden’s TAs!!!  Congratulations, No Frills Fundraiswer Wolves — there’s donuts for everyone!! [clap]
    .
The Donut Breakfasts are scheduled for next Tuesday morning during TA — so come hungry!  And once again, thanks to everyone for supporting the WMS-PTA!!
