After-School Activities

Please check the club's tab for meeting days, times, and location.

Williamsburg students are encouraged to participate in the wide variety of opportunities for extra-curricular activities (clubs registration is not required, students may drop into the club of their choice weekly). These activities are provided during After-School Period 1 (ASP 1) 2:45 p.m. 3:30 p.m. An additional after-school period (ASP 2) will be provided. ASP 2 runs from 3:30 – 4:05p.m. Students in ASP 2 will be provided with additional supervised activities. Any student who remains on campus after 2:45 p.m. must be supervised by an adult. Late buses are provided Monday, Tuesday & Thursday for students who normally ride buses when they stay for after school activities. Students staying after school may not leave the school grounds and return to ride the late bus. Late Buses depart WMS at 4:15pm.

       Go Wolves!

Club meeting days and times are subject to change, please check the morning announcements blog for the most accurate information regarding clubs.

Creating a Club

At WMS we encourage our students to express and share their interest by creating their own clubs. Here is how WMS students can create/share their own clubs for their fellow wolves.

Students will need to write a paragraph answering the following questions and share the write up with Ms. Hogwood (this goes on the WMS website for others to see and possibly join):

Who: who are the members of the club (five WMS students are needed to start the club)? What staff member will be the sponsor (each club must have an APS sponsor, the sponsor’s role is to moderate the club and ensure fairness and safety for all attending?

What/why: what is the club and its purpose?

When/Where: when will the club meet (what day and after-school session, clubs can meet one or both sessions)

**If you have any questions, please email Ms. Hogwood (ashley.hogwood@apsva.us).

Intramurals

An outgrowth of the physical education program, the major purpose of this program is to provide students with lifetime sports activities. Boys and girls are encouraged to participate.

Club Information

Teachers and volunteers offer many after school programs to meet the varied interests of our students. Students staying after school for enrichment, academic support, clubs, co-curricular organizations, or other activities are required to sign in with the sponsor.
