  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • Believe it or not, but we’re nearly at the halfway mark of the 4th and final quarter of the year!  This is a reminder that teachers will be posting midterm grades this TUESDAY — so students with any missing work, incompletes, or retakes should get them done as soon as possible.  Good luck, wolves!!
    .
  • The “Talk About Books Club” — aka TAB — will be hosting its LAST MEETING of the year today during all grade-level lunches.  Participants are reminded to get your grub, come up to the library, and take a look at some totally awesome books!  See Ms. Tan with any questions.
    .
  • The AMC 8 gathering is cancelled for today — so don’t stay after school. But if you’d like to get your certificate today, 6th and 7th graders should come to room C103 during lunch, and 8th graders should come to room C106 during lunch. If you cannot come by, your certificate will be given to your TA teacher.
    .
  • We’ve got spirit, yes we do, we’ve got spirit, how about you??? Sign-ups for the 2022 WMS Pep Rally are now OPEN.  The link is posted in Canvas on the Student Info Page, and on the WMS website. But don’t delay! Sign-ups will close this Friday — and you’ll find out if you’ve been selected on May 24th.  See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.
    .
  • The WMS Helping Hands Club needs your help!  From now through May 25th, students and staff are asked to contribute to Comfort Cases — a charitable organization committed to helping foster children in times of need. To participate, please donate teen pajamas, board books, or anything else you can spare.  Collection bins are located in the Main Lobby.  Thanks for your help, wolves!!
    .
  • Don’t trash that banana peel — or even your half eaten bologna sandwich. Because COMPOSTING is coming to WMS.  Starting today, the Yorktown High School environmental group — “For A Strawless Sea” — will be composting scraps and uneaten food during all grade-level lunches.  And if you’d like to help, they’ll also be recruiting WMS volunteers!  So don’t forget to compost!
    .
  • The SOLs are about to begin!  Tomorrow morning, the entire school will be taking the READING SOL.  In preparation, students are reminded to charge their iPads, get a good night’s sleep, and eat a healthy breakfast.  You want to be at your best for the test!
    .
