  • Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • Attention Munners! There is no Model UN meeting today.  However, if you need assistance writing your position paper for the upcoming conference on Saturday, please come to room C105 after school.  See Mr. McDermott with any questions.

  • What’s that buzz??? It’s the annual Williamsburg Geo Bee — scheduled for this FRIDAY afternoon in the auditorium.  Finalists from each grade-level have been selected and will be contacted soon with more information soon.  Thanks to all of our students who participated in the classroom competitions — and to all of our social studies teachers for working to make the Geo Bee happen!

  • All the BEST BOOKS are on sale NOW! The WMS-PTA Scholastic Book Fair is open for business — all this week in the Library.  6th, 7th, and 8th graders will all have a chance to visit with their English classes — but everyone is welcome to stop by before TA, during lunch, and after school on most days. Look for the signs around the school and on the school website for exact hours. Don’t forget to bring your money — and go get yourself a good book!

  • Calling all film-makers, journalists, and video-jockeys! The 10th annual Arlington Student FilmFest is now accepting entries for its 2022 competition. Just follow the link 2022 ASFF, v2in today’s Morning Announcements Blog to submit your video and application by the deadline on April 3rd. The Festival itself will take place on May 14th at Washington-and-Liberty High School — where all of the finalists and award-winners will be screened.  See Mr. Schonfeld for more information.  Now go make some movie magic!

  • And now for an update on the March Madness Tournament of Books — Graphic Novel Edition!  We’ve made it to the Championship Round — with “The Crossover” vs. “I Survived the Nazi Invasion, 1944.”  And YOU get to decide who 2022 March Madness Tournament of Books, Finalswill win!  To participate, just go to the Library Canvas Course and cast your vote today.  The March Madness Tournament of Books — may the best book win!
